We know that children in care have faced multiple traumas that often include abuse, neglect, or exposure to parental addiction. We also know that trauma impacts normal development since it compromises a child's ability to develop  attachment, trust, and emotional regulation. This seminar provides an opportunity to understand the effects of trauma, specifically developmental trauma, as well as identifying ways to support these children in their growth and healing.

About the Facilitator:

Carrie DeJong is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with over 20 years of experience working with trauma. Her strength is the ability to blend current research across a number of important areas: addiction, trauma, anxiety, stress, attachment, neuroscience, and an understanding of how the human nervous system functions.

Please register early! Feel free to forward to others who may be interested!
