This workshop is designed for professionals who work directly with these young people, however, parents of older teens with a history of being in care would also benefit from this training.

- Gain perspective and understanding of the need for youth to develop long term support networks as they move into their adult lives
- Learn strategies to help youth build networks of unpaid individuals who will commit to being part of the youth's life into the future
- Understand the importance of connection to biological family, and learn strategies to help youth safely re engage with biological family
Facilitator Jen Hillman worked at the Adoptive Families Association for 27 years as an Adoption Support Counsellor, PASS Counsellor, and Adoption Key Worker. She is an adoptive parent and now also a grandmother of three.
