Youth workers and parents of older teens! Join us for a series of three lunch-and-learn workshops October 6, 13 and 20 to help youth develop long term support networks.

This workshop series will help youth workers and parents of older teens gain a perspective and understanding of the need for youth to develop long term support networks as they move into their adult lives

  • To learn strategies to help youth build networks of unpaid individuals who will commit to being part of the youth's life into the future
  • To help youth workers and parents understand the importance of the connection to biological family for youth who have aged out of the care system
  • To learn strategies to help youth re-engage with their biological families in a way that is safe

Session will be co-facilitated by Lucie Honey-Ray and Jen Hillman.

Jen Hillman worked at the Adoptive Families Association for 27 years as a Family Support Worker and PASS Counsellor. She is an adoptive parent to three adult children and is nana to three grandkids.
