Fostering and Adopting: Which is right for you? ONLINE via Zoom

Come learn about the differences between becoming a foster parent, and adopting through the Adopt BC Kids program. Join us to see which is the best for you!

We will be holding this event via videoconferencing only, using Zoom, a free videoconferencing program from your computer, smartphone, or tablet.

Topics include: What it takes to become a foster parent and what it takes to adopt a child from foster care in BC, the differences between the two programs, who are the children in care, special placement needs, and key issues for families. Co-presented by AFABC and representatives from the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD).

Please watch this short online presentation prior to participating in the info session to gain a basic level of understanding of adoption in BC:

Audience: Prospective adoptive parents and prospective foster parents.

 - Couples, please register only one person, and log in together. 

 - Singles are welcome to attend 

This session is for adults only. If you will have children at home with you during the session, please ensure they are occupied, preferably in another room.
