Join our monthly support group meetings to discuss parenting children with FASD. We will be meeting over Zoom on the second Tuesday of every other month at 6.30pm.

Join us on Tuesday, January 12th at 6:30 pm for our first virtual FASD Parenting Support Group meeting. The group will meet on the 2nd Tuesday of every other month in 2021: January, March, May, July, September, and November.

The group will be hosted by Dusty Laursen, FASD Key Worker at Pacific Community Resources Society, and Angie McMullen, Family Support Worker at AFABC. Dusty adopted her 20-year old son at age 13, and is also a foster parent to a 12-year old, and Angie adopted her 11-year old son as an infant, plus has two adult biological sons.

For the January 12th event, we are thrilled to announce Marsha Wilson as a special guest speaker. Marsha is an adoptive parent and the instructor of the highly sought-after FASD Online Training at Douglas College, which is a seven-module certificate program for parents (including prospective adoptive or foster parents), individuals with FASD (self advocates), FASD Key Workers, and front line workers in all of the helping professions.

Please look for an email from AFABC with the Zoom link a couple of days prior to the event.

We look forward to meeting you at the FASD Parenting Support Group meeting!
