Infant and child adoption
While some people do go on to adopt a newborn or infant, others widen their options and consider adopting a toddler or child who may range in age from two to 19 years old.
Your adoption options
There are two options to adopt an infant or child in BC. You can adopt through:
- The Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD)'s Adopt BC Kids program
- BC's licensed adoption agencies.
Speak to a Family Support Worker to learn more about your options and to discuss taking the next steps in making a difference for a waiting child.
