Akoma Mentoring (African-Canadian Adoption Network)

Asian Adult Adoptees of British Columbia--Triple ABC

A new organization seeking Asian adoptees ages 19 and over. 

You can meet, learn from, and have fun with other adoptees who share in your experiences.

We are looking to bring adult adoptees together to participate in events, educate ourselves and future generations of adoptees, and work towards building a community of Asian adult adoptees within BC.

This will be Western Canada's first adult adoptee organization.

Come and join us in creating interesting dialogue, meeting new people, and having some laughs.

FASD Support - Teleconferences

Description: These facilitated tele-conferences combine networking, education and support with a structured agenda, and will also include guest speakers such an FASD Key Worker and a registered dietician. There is no charge for any of these sessions and once you have registered on www.eventbrite.com/afabc you will be notified of the toll free tele-conference information.

This film gives others a close-up look into the lives of parents whose children have FASD. It is an inspiring, educational and call to action, tool to be used with professionals and parents to create awareness and action. This film was developed by a group of mothers from Sioux Lookout, who are members of the Healthy Generations Family Support Program in partnership with The National Film Board of Canada.

Family Education Outreach Program Northern Health

Based in Prince George. Offers "Chill Out," a program for parents and teens focusing on parenting as well as anger management. Also offers "Elements of Insight," a program for caregivers of children, who have suffered trauma. Call 250-565-2128
