Connect with other adoptive families, or people who are thinking about adopting, or who are adopting. Join an AFABC facebook group to connect and speak with other people in the adoptive community, be part of discussions, ask questions, read recent news and learn about upcoming events!

You need a facebook profile first to join these groups. Please note that Face Book is a public resource. We cannot guarantee your privacy while using this site. It is, therefore, the user’s responsibility to protect their identity and personal information and that of their family. The opinions stated in the facebook group are not neccessarily the opinions of AFABC or its staff.

There are several groups you can join, each with a different focus:

General AFBAC facebook group
This is a general group for anyone to join. We give updates about some of the latest adoption news, we let you know about upcoming events and worskhops, and there are discussions that you can participate in. Connect to the group!

N.A.P. Time group (New Adoptive Parents)
This group is a closed group offered to AFABC members. First join AFABC and then email Cheryl at cpiddocke@bcadoption.com to join. This group is for parents to connect with other new parents and gain support.

Gay and Lesbian Adoptive Parent group
This is a closed group offered to AFABC members only. First join AFABC and then email Sarah at sreid@bcadoption.com to join. This group is for gay and lesbian parents or potential parents to connect and gain support.

FASD Parent Support
This is a social networking group for parents of children with FASD. Join us for the challenges and joys of parenting. Share what works for you family and what doesn't. Connect to the group!
