Come and learn about adopting from foster care. There are hundreds of children and youth in BC foster care who are waiting for adoptive families.

Topics include: who are the children, why they come into care, special placement needs, the adoption process and key issues for families. Co-presented by AFABC and MCFD.
 

 

Audience: Prospective adoptive parents. Couples, please attend together. Singles are welcome to attend with a support person. This session is for adults only please.

Arrival: Please plan to arrive 5 minutes prior to start time for this event. Front door will be opened by 6:50pm.

Parking: Free parking.

Note: This workshop is for adults only please. This course is often waitlisted. Please notify us at sreid@bcadoption.com if you need to cancel. 

Our training room is located on the 2nd floor with stair access only. We do have space in a smaller room on the ground floor if necessary. Please notify us upon registration if you need an accessible ground floor space so we can book and prepare the room.
