Learn about infant development, substance exposure, sleep issues, household and infant safety, support services, self care and more in this online webinar workshop.
Important: Infant/child first aid training is not included in this online workshop. You can complete this element prior to the course or after. To receive a completion certificate for this Safe Babies course, participants are required to get Infant/child first aid training and provide a copy of their certificate to the AFABC registrar. Infant/child first aid training is offered across the province through St. Johns Ambulance and other first aid organizations.
If you have a current CPR certificate, please check it against the following chart to determine if it is eligible as an Infant CPR/Child CPR certification. If so, please submit a copy of your certificate to the registrar.
Prospective and current adoptive parents. This course is not intended for foster parents.
Dates - Tuesdays:
February 5th, 12th, 19th 7:00 - 8:30PM - Online
Format: Three x 1.5 hour online webinars. This webinar uses the Adobe Connect online meeting platform. Please check your computers/devices compatibility here.
Fee: $115 per person. To receive a Safe Babies certificate, participants must register individually and provide their infant CPR training certificate.
Login info: Webinar login information will be provided to you in a confirmation email after registration and before each webinar session.
Notes: We recommend that you have taken the AEP before this course. This webinar workshop is for adults only.
