Come join our Family Support Workers and other waiting parents for an informal discussion. Join us if you're applying to adopt, approved and waiting, or even just thinking about adoption! This month we are talking about Transitions - What to expect when a child transitions from foster home to your home. We will hear from a special guest and also learn strategies to give the child the best experience moving home. *Note that registration for our Waiting Parent Group meetings will open approximately one month prior to the session.

Come join us if you're:

  • applying to adopt
  • approved and waiting
  • or even thinking about adoption

This session we will be talking about Transitions - What to Expect. How long does it take for a child to transition from living in a foster home to living in your home? What happens during this transition period? How can I prepare, and what should I expect? Come with your questions!

We will be holding this group online via TEAMS every 3rd Monday of the month starting September 21, 2020. We will have 2021 group meetings in January, February, April, June, August, October, and December.

For new applicants who haven't started their Adoption Education Program (AEP) and haven't attended an Adopt BC Kids info session, we ask that you watch this online presentation before you join the meeting.
