We are thrilled to bring to you: talented puppeteer Donnie Mac and his puppet Emery Burningrass, for an afternoon of entertainment as well as learning about language and culture.

Donnie Mac, from Onion Lake, SK, is a talented powwow dancer who makes his own regalia, as well as a well-known Indigenous artist. He and Emery have been touring western Canada and have performed in countless shows. We feel blessed that he is sharing his stories and humour with our adoptive and permanency families!

Each child who registers by Dec 27 will receive a small puppet in the mail prior to the event, to be able to participate alongside Donnie and Emery. Families are also welcome to participate using their own puppets from home.

This event and the puppets are free, thanks to a grant that AFABC received from the Victoria Foundation Adoption and Permanency Fund of BC. As there is significant cost and planning associated with holding this event, and to be respectful of Donnie, Emery, and the Victoria Foundation for providing the grant, we ask that you only register if you know you can definitely attend and participate. Thank you for understanding.

When you are registering, please ensure you specify how many children you have who will be attending, as each child will receive a puppet. Quantities are limited.

We look forward to seeing you on Feb 6!
