About the facilitator
Emily Gibson (she/her) is a consultant, facilitator, community development leader and coach who is passionate about finding innovative ways to support people and communities to thrive and succeed. Emily has over 15 years of experience providing leadership and support for not-for-profit organizations, Indigenous communities, schools and businesses in Canada and abroad to design, implement and evaluate truly transformational community-led programs.
Previous to launching her consulting business in 2021, Emily was the Program Director for Right To Play’s national Indigenous youth program focused on developing essential life-skills and suicide prevention. Throughout her career, she has specialized in self-care, trauma-informed practice, grief awareness, child protection, and mental wellness programming for children, youth and adults. Emily believes that taking care of ourselves is a non-negotiable. She teaches practical strategies to support people to identify what emotional, spiritual, physical and mental wellness looks and feels like to them.
