There are no fees for birth parents placing through any program. BC agencies offer unbiased adoption counselling free of charge for expectant mothers and fathers and ongoing support for expectant parents who decide to make an adoption plan.
Under BC law, birth parents cannot be financially compensated.
Fees for genetic parents of embryo adoption/donation
While embryo storage fees may apply, there is no fee for genetic parents to donate their embryos through a clinic or embryo adoption program. Under Canadian law, persons cannot be reimbursed for the donation of embryos.
