Adoption Key Worker - South Island


Adoption Key Worker - South Island
This permanent, part-time employment opportunity (21 hrs/week) coordinates all AFABC family pre- and post-adoption support activities, as well as recruitment and community engagement activities and services within the South Island Region (including Victoria, Duncan, Chemainus, and the Southern Gulf Islands). 
Services are focused on MCFD permanency families, including adoptive, kinship and guardianship families. Support is also offered to families that adopt locally or internationally, as well as those that are formed through family or step parent adoptions. Regular activities may include liaising with MCFD and adoption agency staff, coordinating volunteers and overseeing the development and implementation of information, education, social and support programs as well as coordinating all incoming requests for information on the adoption process in BC and community events. Some travel within the region and to the Mainland will be required. This position is primarily home-based.
