Outside of BC
Within Canada, adoption records are provincially managed. For Canadian adoptions that took place outside of British Columbia, contact the director of adoption for that province or territory.
International reunion options are improving. Reunion programs are underway for adoptees in Korea and getting started in other nations. Homeland tours are increasingly popular for young adult and grown adoptees seeking information or wishing to reconnect with their home culture and nation. To get started, contact the adoptee's placing agency, lawyer, or facilitator (if applicable), or connect with community groups that support adoptive families with children adopted from the same nation.
